  113. 1.1 About EZ-E-Mail
  114.  
  115. When you register your EZMailBox(tm) address, you join a growing 
  116. membership of computer users networked across the nation. As 
  117. a member of the EZ-E-Mail Network, you participate in an
  118. organization which centers around the electronic communication
  119. needs of its members.
  120.  
  121. EZ-E-Mail makes communication among multiple remote locations
  122. simpler, more efficient, and more cost-effective.  EZ-E-Mail
  123. uses standard telephone lines to carry electronic mail messages
  124. (E-Mail) between personal computers equipped with the EZMailBox
  125. software as well as other electronic mail services.  An E-Mail 
  126. message can be correspondence, computer files, worksheets -- any 
  127. file stored on your computer system.

  129. EZ-E-Mail is simple and easy to use.

  131.         Menu pulldown selections.
  132.         
  133.         There is no need to learn a new editor to compose
  134.         E-Mail messages.  You can set your favorite text editor
  135.         in the EZMailBox Configuration menu selection.

  137.         Online help is provided and can be accessed from the main
  138.         menu bar.  Or you can press [F1] at any time from any point
  139.         in the program, and additional online information about 
  140.         the current selected item will be displayed.  To return to 
  141.         your selected window, press the [Esc] key.

  145. 1.2 Advantages of EZ-E-Mail over Fax or direct modem connections. 
  146.  
  147.         EZ-E-Mail gives the addressee an editable/usable file upon receipt
  148.         of the transmission.  Fax does not.
  149.         
  150.         EZ-E-Mail can send to multiple addressees with one transmission.
  151.         Fax cannot.
  152.         
  153.         EZ-E-Mail is simpler and more convenient to use.  Create your 
  154.         message once and send it.  With Fax, you must type the file, 
  155.     print it, and then use a Fax machine to send it.
  156.         
  157.         EZ-E-Mail uses telephone lines to transmit/receive messages
  158.         without any extra inconvenience. Fax requires either a dedicated 
  159.         telephone line or special equipment.
  160.         
  161.         EZ-E-Mail software is free of charge.  In order to have a
  162.         direct connection, both users must purchase the compatible 
  163.         software.  In order to send the messages, one user must first 
  164.         determine that the other user's telephone line is free. This is 
  165.         usually done by calling the other party to ensure that the 
  166.         line will be free to call and accept the connection.

  169. 1.3 Gateway to other mail services. 
  170.  
  171.         Currently, EZ-E-Mail serves as a gateway to MCI Mail(sm), 
  172.         CompuServe(tm), Internet, usenet, and Fidonet.  This 
  173.         gateway service is provided at no additional charge.

  177. 1.4 EZ-E-Mail is cost-effective.
  178.  
  179.         Subscribers pay only a flat rate, no message unit fees, 
  180.         and no extra charge for sending the same message to multiple 
  181.         addressees. The message is sent once to the Central Post 
  182.         Office (CPO) and forwarded from there to all the addressees.
  183.         
  184.         Connect time is minimized.  Subscribers create all their files
  185.         and mail messages BEFORE connecting to the CPO. Mail
  186.         messages and files are compressed upon completion.  They are
  187.         then queued for delivery.  Only when you click on the Connect 
  188.         to CPO selection does the dialup start. Therefore, the only 
  189.         telephone company charge will be for the amount of time required 
  190.         to send the queued mail.

  194. 1.5 Encryption Protection

  196.         Mail messages and files are encrypted upon exiting from the editor. 
  197.         Upon receipt, the message or file is decrypted automatically.

  202. 1.6 Subscription Information and Rates
  203.  
  204. The first month of EZ-E-Mail service is a trial period and no payment 
  205. is due.  Thereafter, fees are due and payable in advance by check
  206. or money order either monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or yearly.  
  207. A user is not fully registered until payment is received by Shecora 
  208. Associates, Inc., P.O. Box 7604, Nashua, NH 03060.

  210. Subscribers will be billed electronically for their mail service.
  211. If a check is returned for any reason by the bank, a surcharge of
  212. $15.00 will be assessed.  In addition, until the bank return fee and
  213. the subscription fee are paid and cleared, the user's account will 
  214. be frozen.  The CPO will accept mail to that account, but will not 
  215. allow downloading to the user until the account bill is settled.
